I feel like the turtle mount would be more practical only IF there's a bigger body of water in terraria than the ocean—like the ones in calamity I think it was.
The bee mount is actually better than most people think it's not good for bosses but it makes getting to sky islands much easier and it is the highest flight in pre hardmode
I love the turtle mount solely because I did a challenge run on the old tutorial world and it was super useful for traversing the massive body of water underneath and it allowed me to collect souls easily down there when it got infected. ❤️🩹
