I have a challenge for you based on something that actually happened to me this week.
I was building a structure on the nether roof when a ghast started to attack. I was pretty close so turned, and propelled a rocket at him to hit him with my sword (out of arrows). At the exact moment I propelled my rocket, it fired a fire charge and we collided. Not only did I explode but all of my netherite gear and inventory was lost. I searched for an hour to try to find my gear with hit boxes on and everything. Is there enough velocity in that moment to destroy netherite gear and tools?

zedaph, even though as you said gold_block has higher blast resistance than the power of ghast ball, moving blocks have it reduced (which is used in blast chambers)
