honestly game drops are better than update because I'd rather have some Minecraft content a every few month instead of a bunch of Minecraft content every YEAR

A way of keeping the current update numbers is just going forward 1 every year, so 2026 would have 1.22.1 – 1.22.4 and 2027 would be 1.23 etc
