Here is my creative build of HMHS Britannic, the younger sister-ship of the infamous RMS Titanic and RMS Olympic.

Launched in early 1914, Britannic was intended to enter service as a transatlantic passenger liner much like her older sister-ships, however due to the outbreak of the First World War the ship was requisitioned by the British government and hastily completed as a hospital ship for transporting wounded soldiers from war-torn Europe back to Britain. The ship’s immense size and speed made her very effective in this role.

Unfortunately on 21 November 1916 while on her sixth voyage to the Mediterranean and less than a year into service, Britannic sank after striking a German naval mine in the Kea Channel in the Aegean Sea in just 55 minutes, with a loss of 30 lives. She was the largest vessel lost in the conflict.

The wreck of the Britannic currently lays at a depth of around 120m/400ft and is currently the largest shipwreck on the ocean floor, and is remarkably well preserved.
