Using a mix of shelves with no items and ones with 3 white banners make a simple and pretty-looking shoji. It looks good with all sorts of shelf colors, but I gravitated towards dark oak. I could even see using banner designs to create intricate designs on interior panels as well!
(Unfortunately they do cause a bit of lag when used in large amounts.)
