nice list and yes: automate is absoutely essential… i still hope that some day the hoppers will be reworked and made useful, especially for the absurd price… say you set up everything as if you are using automate but placing the hopper is the activator for the system… or at least make the hoppers work like in minecraft building hopper chains and stuff.
the to dew mod is nice tho i usually use steam notes which you can pin as and overlay with transparency and stuff.
instead of the no friendship decay i use friends forever cause it also prevents friendship loss if you accidentally gift something you didnt want to gift or if the villager catches you searching the trash cans.
also npc map location is amazing cause it tracks the villagers in real time on the map. if you find a gift for your spouse and you wonder where he/she is: press m and you see the location. it also shows townsfolk on ginger island or in the dessert. very handy for the early and midgame to befriend people and in the lategame if you wanna check if gus is finally on the island so you can buy the last cooking recipe from him.

I always use Chest Anywhere. And thankfully it doesn't interact with automate and drag items from anywhere in the game.
I personally enjoy using the Immersive Scarecrow and Immersive Sprinklers that way they don't take up space on my farm or greenhouse

One helpful thing about Lookup Anything I learned recently is that you can hover over a body of water, press F1, and then you'll see which fish are available and what requirements (season/weather/time) they have. It's super helpful.
I'll have to check out the "Events" page from the Event Lookup mod. So far, I've only used the hotkey to see which events I can trigger today. However, I'm missing a Dwarf cut scene to get the shortcut to the Desert (on the Frontier Farm from Expanded), despite having all requirements. At least I think so. Maybe the Events page will be able to help out.

Another good one I would recommend for multiplayer or even your example of testing things with Automate is the Better Shipping Bin. It lets you collect any items in the shipping bin you put in there until it ships for the day, really helps with accidentally shipping something you didn’t mean too
