  1. The manikin swing command might be mojang slowly adding an vanilla version of the Carpet Mod NPCs. I know the technical communities use them a lot for farms that need 2 accounts. They just spawn the npc in to do something instead of logging in another account.

This is kinda in line with the tick freeze and step commands they added last year. That was first a Carpet Mod command.

And it’s worth noting that Gnembon, a previous SciCraft member, is working at mojang now, so he may be pushing for these inclusions.

  2. They recently released iOS 26.2 to the public, and just released iOS 26.3 Beta 1 to developer beta testers… What a coincidence to have a snapshot drop…

  3. This is a huge technical snapshot. There is nothing really new that isn't technical. But hey, i do appreciate the better lighting! Now i am glad for those people out there not being blinded with the night vision affect at night like looking at social media at night in a very pitch black room and turning light mode on. Hopefully this would be the same thing for bedrock…. Eventually. Right?

  4. I like to imagine that this next snapshot will finally give the fletching table some use and add a new profession for villagers, i always thought it was kinda weird that there was no miner villager given the number of emeralds they have, they could make him act like the wandering trader, using invisibility to enter a cave and come back with materials, their work station could be a chest minecart, i don't think it would be too hard to code in comparison to blocks

  5. What does this look like bedrock lighting I guess I'm just used to bedrock because the whole time I was watching this video I thought he was playing bedrock. But it was Java.

  6. i think with the enchantment update, they are going to make it so you have to use what ever item they choose, to upgrade the level enchant, like if you want a level 3 looting, you need to pay 2 of the insert item to get it from level 1 to level 3

  7. 5:10 I get it: lighting is split into "Block light" and "Sky light" (which quantifies how exposed to the sky something is, not necessarily how bright it is). On this lightmap, the horizontal axis is block light (the further right, the brighter the block light) and the vertical axis is sky light (the higher up, the brighter the sky light), and each color is the one that gets applied to each block at that specific combination of light levels. So the top right corner is both at their brightest, the bottom left is both at their dimmest, the top left is brightest sky + dimmest block, and the bottom right is brightest block + dimmest sky.
