I wish they made the Rod of Discord's obtain method more interesting There's no real challenge in getting it, it's just boring and grindy I wish it was something more akin to the Terraprisma from the EoL where you have to complete a special challenge to obtain it

im a journey mode player so i use coin gun
The coin gun is worth it on journey mode as you can get infinite money on journey mode

I mean, there are money and item duplication glitches so… maybe the coin gun can be a nice alternative.
my hot take is that the rod of discord is unnecessary even for modded terraria. i did infernum and fargo's without it and it went perfectly fine

I forget I own rod of discord the moment I summon a boss. I mainly use it for exploring caverns. I teleport to air pockets where I want to mine.
The terragrim isn't rare at all, you can just buy it from the princess in a celebrationMK10 world.
