Woah, that is mega, but then again it's got decked out as a background. It'll fit in with the whole ambience.
Really like how you out line two build styles. Style 1, starting with a box and adding shapes. Style 2, starting with a skeletal frame then filling in the bits.
17:15 please someone tell Gem that she can press F3 + T while holding left(or right) click and let go before its done reloading to auto hold that button, dont need to rest something on top of the button.
Your building advice was really excellent Gem! I think the most growth Iv'e had as an Illustrator has come from breaking out of the structures and "templates" my brain always starts with (perspective grids, structure, etc…) and just allowing myself to develop and piece things together as they make sense and come to me. Feels a lot more fun and personal while also allowing me to study and stretch my architectural drawing skills. I want to apply this to my Minecraft builds too!!
One suggestion for texturing mega builds is to consider where you will be viewing it from-e.g. from the entrance, from the sky, from a path thats far away-you should texture the most where you are going to be physically close to the build most often, and then less and less as it gets further away from your viewing spot. As an example, for the doorway, since you are likely going to be walking through there a lot you should texture the level closer to your height, and get less and less detailed as you go higher up. This mimics the way we perceive fewer details as something gets further away even though minecraft doesn't render that way, it will save your texturing blocks and make your build seem far more grand!
I shared a short clip to my brother that Scar had created of you staring him down because he had burned down your free range bee farm. He laughed so hard at the end. I didn't know why until he reminded me that our younger sister would say something similar to us that you had said to Scar, "It's a good thing you're pretty". So good!

Celebration you say? Like celebrating Etho's birthday perhaps?
