I recently asked you guys for your Terraria hot takes, so today we’re going to go over a few of them and seeing if your Teraria hot takes are valid or not.

The Frost Legion should be reworked or updated, it's existed for a very long time and doesn't really do anything. I would change it to something like the Goblin Invasion and make its summoning item a Snow Biome drop instead of a christmas present drop
Hot take: The pillar weapons should be post moonlord
Ofc there should be some balancing to adresd this, but ive always found it a let down that once you get to the pillars usually your best option is the two weapons you can craft from it.
Honestly both terraria hardmode and phm have no gameplay structure. It's just random stuff sprinkled across the game with no thought for coherence. Relogic are looking at terraria as a building simulator first and an actual game with progression last
Hot take: if you have very little technical knowledge on terraria and admit to almost never using the wiki, you shouldn't make videos such as "fixing (X class)" or "have we been playing (X class) wrong?", because all you're doing is spreading misinformation. The only positive thing to come out of these videos are the comment sections correcting them.
My hot take is that almost every terraria boss sucks. The only good ones are duke fishrom, brain of Cthulhu and empress of light, all other bosses are just projectile spam or a flying png that follows in on you and touches you to death. The three i mentioned have actual attack patterns and require some thought to defeat that isnt just attack and fly around then
For the calamity one, I think Calamity should be implemented inti Terraria with a major astrisk. I think it should be fone in a similar way to how Isaac added Antibirth into the game. For those who are unawar, the Repentance update for Isaac was basically them adding Antibirth (a highly respected mod) into the base game. But they didn't copy it one for one. Instead unique additions where made while certain aspects were ommited in order to blend it into the overall design philosophy of the game. But on top of that, the team who made Antibirth, worked on Repentance in an official capacity so not only was Antibirth molded to fit the base game, but it did so at the control of the original dev team as to not step on anybody's toes.
There's a ton I would love to see in Calamity added to the base game, but I admit, Calamity is a bit much at times so not including everything would be the way to go.
Hot take: The empress of light is easy, it's just that people either don't find fun in dodging attacks or have never heard of the game called "Undertale"
I'm 100% serious. The empress is PISS easy, and she doesn't even mandate a high skill.

Classic is fantastic if you're one person playing Terraria but it's just so unviable for a multiplayer game
Moonlord music theme is underwhelming for the final bossfight
With the old ones army I just don't like having to make a super flat arena

My very lukewarm take: All classes deserve their own Zenith weapons
Hot take: almost every single event in terraria is bad. Random projectile spam and ludicrously high damage makes it unenjoyable

I remember hearing about AND seeing a video where a player new to Terraria, completely blind, tried expert mode instead of classic mode.
They absolutely HATE Terraria now.

thorium would work better as a final update to terraria than calamity.
we can all agree that the twins is the easiest mech boss, right?
