use a copper bulb and a comparator as a t flip flop instead of the piston with rs block, then use buttons on both sides that connects to the copper bulb

XOR gate that feeds into your redstone line, that will allow you to change the power for either input to toggle the state of the door.
Kinda like when you have light switches at the top and bottom of a set of stairs
