I saw something similar to this in hermitcraft. zedaph had gotten help from pearl to make it to where she leashed a pig that zedaph was sitting on and let lightning strike the pig so zedaph would end up riding the zombie piglin, also leading the zombie piglin because that's not typically possible. the leads worked in this way with them as well.

Will the leashes disapear if the wolf despawns?
If I find a wolf before the first night, I dig a hole for the wolf, punch and feed it meat, so it doesn't despawn.
