Easy doesn’t always mean bad. If the first bosses are mad hard and areas have many enemies, less people will experience the whole game. I think Crimson is made for experienced players.
I think people only prefer corruption because of nostalgia. Crimson is just better unless maybe if you’re a mage. Besides the better loot, I think the crimson just has better enemies and cave design. The boss isn’t amazing but still better than the worm.
Will we ever live in a world where everyone agrees that the evil biomes do their own thing better? Will we ever live in a terraria world where the better evil biome is up to personal preference? Idfk. I seen this argument so many times, it's not funny anymore.

It depends on what class you're going with
I have mild arachnophobia so I'm not choosing crimson
What I like to do is make a world with one evil, then transplant the other with blocks
The only logical point anyone has ever given me is "the nightmare pickaxe is slightly faster"
Crimsom for:playing for your First time, testing harder modes
Corruption:speedrun technique, better damage (My opinion)

Crimson is generally the harder biome, but the loot is better (and sometimes just straight upgrades to their corruption counterparts)

BoC is easier than king slime and EoC to the point where I just get a snapthorn and beat it first boss everytime
