Terraria: not all Deserts are created equal

  1. I have a seed where dunes and the Main Dessert overlap where a Pyramide leeds super deep in the Underground Dessert which Is preety cool

  2. Huh, I always thought pyramids only spawned in ug deserts because every time I found one it was inside the desert underground, what are the chances of that? I also thought the oasis was exclusively in dunes.

  3. Oh, the tip about the drop in height before the real desert can actually come in handy for Journeys in a Jiffy runs! The desert biome actually comes up quite a bit with the sandgun, golfer, bast statue, and amber objectives.

  4. Because it annoys me, a small correction for the ending: a "factoid" is not a "small fact" like many believe it to be. It is a statement that a large amount of people believe and spread as if it is a fact, but it actually isn't. Like Napoleon being short, when he was in fact the height of an average Frenchman of his time. Funnily enough, that first definition of a factoid would probably just about qualify as a factoid itself.

  5. Also pyramids will fail to generate if the desert is a certain amount of blocks before the dungeon and in the area between the dungeon and the ocean on the side of the dungeon this is on the wiki

  6. never really liked the desert changes in 1.4 not always having the big antlion pit or any sort of underground desert entrance makes an already low importance biome even more likely to be missed

  7. I was kinda annoyed that there wasn't a pyramid in my large world. But I'll go do a double check now. So this video was actually really useful. But I still could just be cursed with bad world gen

  8. I wish this video had come out a couple of days earlier when I needed this information lmao 🥲🥲🥲
Good explanation, will come in handy when I restart with friends after the update. Love your channel!

  9. Since we’re on the topic, anyone know why antlion nest entrances sometimes have lava at the bottom? This is the highest lava can spawn naturally on non-ftw seeds, and there’s not really any purpose to it other than to maybe prank the player
