So just a warning, I am a complete noob with all things redstone. I am so sorry if this hurts to look at!

I can't work out how to get all the gates to open/close with each successive flip of the lever! From what I figure with the current setup, redstone torches aren't the going method as they give off a constant redstone signal? I need to be able to toggle it on and off to open and close the gates.

I haven't worked out how I'm going to autonomously attract whichever mob I use to the end of the "racetrack", but I'll get there when it comes to it. 🥲

  1. You can turn off a torch by powering the block BELOW it. So ideally you’d run a line of dust, a line of repeaters next to the dust (pointing out from the dust, one for each torch), and a block in front of the repeater (ie the output). Torches go on top of this block

  2. Firstly, that’s not how redstone torches work. They need to be given a redstone signal through whatever block they are on, your current setup will just have the dust be powered by the single torch and nothing else.

Try using the redstone torches where they are now, but placed on the side of target blocks next to them or atop target blocks. Run a redstone line on the other side of the targets, attach the lever. The redstone will face into the target blocks, which is why any other block won’t work, then pull the lever, powering and unpowering the redstone torches.
