  1. As an advent follower of Terraria this is the only reason I know the update is out and that's insane to me because red what the hell where's our marketing I get the project is for fun at this point for you and the rest of the team but Jesus man take my money

  2. Since you can take a character into multiple worlds, a lot of people consider Master difficulty – and even Expert – more like a new game plus mode. Best of luck to you trying it first! I would be thrilled to see a playthrough of this, though I'm still loving Factorio too.

  3. Defo better to go for Master over Expert. You get another accessory slot, on top of the extra you acquire in Expert from the Wall of Flesh boss. So that's one extra in Expert, two in Master, but the Master one is available from the start. Enemies have more attacks, especially bosses, so its way more fun that way, you get extra drops like cosmetics, trophies and pets from bosses, and everything has higher drop chances, so you're more likely to get the stuff you want from enemies and bosses. Marginally of course, but all the same, better, for an experience that isn't much harder difficulty-wise, and is all the more fun if you like a little bit of a challenge. Other difficulties are a cake-walk. I think people tend to turn their nose up at Master thinking Expert is just fine, but once you've beat the game once on Master, I'd say most never go back.

If you combine Master mode with one of the challenge seeds, like For the Worthy or Zenith, you get a secret Legendary mode. That one brings nothing extra though, its just purely the challenge of master mode and the difficulty changes the seeds bring (like extra danger from otherwise normal / safe interactions that I won't spoil for anyone here).

I've haven't watched the whole VOD yet so you may yet talk about this, but the only thing I'd have not recommended is mediumcore on the character. Just because as the world scales in difficulty, running back to your gear after a death might prove nigh-impossible. I can't say I've seen many people, even content creators use mediumcore. Its' either softcore with the world difficulty being the challenge modifier, or all in on hardcore. But of course, you do you 🙂 I wouldn't want to tell you how to play, just an observation.
