This is kind of annoying, but at the very least they added a few items/features that makes farming easier and more viable (auto chest pickup, vertical conveyors, and stress ball). There's also new secret seeds that permanently enable christmas or halloween in that world (and they can be combined as well), which is nice and makes farming those event items easier
SASHIMI AND LOBSTER TAILS ARE STILL MEDIUM FOOD AND EASY TO GET, OASIS FISHERS STAY WINNING
It's funny to read complaints about things that literally symbolize the phrase "people will eventually optimize the fun out of the game". Whip stacking and free bacon will not be missed by most of the players.
If you do miss it – you always have tModLoader.
Stop trying to gaslight me into feeling good about this. I didn't want pigronata cheese either, but late game, for post plantera, there really should be a non-RNG way of obtaining even a sad timed major buff. Honestly I haven't been feeling good about this update at all.
Tbh this is one unfortunate thing that relogic loves to do
I can’t even count how many skips and exploits and other “fun bugs” they’ve patched out over the years
At least on journey mode you can still farm golden worms from the can of worms…

Could you talk about clovers? I've got 3 easily by starting a run and i think they stack? They are just easily get by breaking grass wich could help lots with rare drops, they give 0.03 i think, they can be eaten but i dont know exactly how much more useful they are

You can’t make a hoik and block swap it was a platform anymore. The platform will just act exactly like a platform.BUT any hoiks made before the update still work.

I always farmed the hardmode skeleton dungeon for gold and food, this is the best location for farming
Btw present food is viable due to secret seeds perma christmas and perma halloween
People needs to realize how mediocre re-logic is. They take 4 whole years for an update that isn't even that game changing, don't fix the worst problems in the game (world generation and grinding), even worse, they always push you to find more tedious ways of progression.
Sad I guess but what’s the big deal? There’s plenty of strong buffs in this game. This game isn’t dark souls😭😂

This nerf is just mean. Like I have never used these methods ever, but it’s a single player game. If someone wants to go out of their way to gain a resource through a method that requires farming anyways, why make it a pain in the rear on purpose. It’s just a dick move

Crystal dupe died too. I personally hate this because farming money is genuinely one of the most unfun things in terraria, and they had to remove the one way of reliably doing it :/

Like you said this really only exists for minmaxing and if you're doing something tjat needs minmaxing (like a mod) you will likely havr other ways to get the buff anyways

literally saw that method a day before update. tried to it after update… i was so disappointed. they also nerfed tavern-keeper purchasable glass trick that i discovered by myself some time ago😭
I don't really know if i like this update anymore, they killed pumpkin pies, now bacon, and lightning can be terrible at times, you can't cancel rain by leaving and joining, i like the portraits but i feel like they don't fit in terraria, the new seeds are cool and the new storage system also is but i feel like it's so little compared to the cons
