Although they cost 10~ gold, if you can get them early game, you can speed through so much of the terrain. from my playthrough, they're consistently getting 50 mph. it's so good considering they don't take up an accessory slot either, and are a mount instead.
not only that, but since they're a mount, you can walk on blocks that would light you on fire and get dealt no damage.
this is a fully pre-boss item and is insane. if the item description is correct, then I have no idea how I'm getting 50~ mph on this thing, but it's still amazing

They’re insane. Don’t even take up an accessory slot. Say goodbye to Hermes Boots until these inevitably get nerfed.

Bro what 50mph?!? I have green ones and they only go 38! What color are yours? Pretty sure you are wrong because what you said about not getting burned when standing on fire blocks (like meteorite etc) was also not true.

Are they better than the Chillet mount? I got it early and it’s kinda ridiculous how much mobility, damage, and survivability it gives

Yeah them being Amphibian Boots that don’t take a slot is absolutely absurd. I hope that they’re nerfed and the unnerfed version is added as a Hardmode upgrade.
