I hope that the horse is actually useful in this game.
With the mine carts and obelisks there was no real reason to even have a horse.
I mean, in “Story of Seasons” 3DS, the horse was required, because the farm was 4 screens away from the town, making it a pretty long trek, that horse moved super fast and once you unlocked Fast Travel in that game, it was done through the horse. Give it a carrot when at a signpost and you could teleport to pretty much anywhere.
