i can just set it to mine a tunnel, then i can go away and do whatever i want while the mining gets done. been VERY useful in the jungle, since i can set the digtoise to mine to somewhere, meaning all i have to focus on is staying alive

Where does one aquire a digtoise
My only problem with it is that it seems nearly pointless even just late pre-hardmode, let alone hardmode. That’s my main problem with all of the pal stuff. For sure, the rest are pretty useless in hardmode. I think they should’ve gotten either a small buff per boss or a decent buff at each progression point to somewhat keep them relevant throughout the game [similarly, deerclop’s gear should also at least get a boost going into hardmode]. At least for digtoise, the mining tool you hold/have in the top priority spot should boost their abilities to some degree like speed/ability to break stuff, or it should at least get mining buff benefits. Idk if it gets the buff benefits or not. but if they don’t, that’d really suck. An alternate problem I have specifically with the 2 actual summons is that you can only have one. Some of their additional benefits make sense not to get buffed too much per summon, but we should be able to have more than one. At the very least, that could keep the fire fox relevant into some of hardmode if not also the pink cat. They’re all still great through parts, if not all, of pre-hardmode, but basically, if not entirely irrelevant afterward.
