All the other nerfs I either agree with or can at least understand the thought process of, but why would you take an item that is both the first proper summon a player can guarantee getting as well as already obnoxious to get and then make it more expensive

yeah this change made zero sense
flinxes are already so annoying why did they do this?
did they make it so flinxes can spawn on snow and ice now because this is just strange
Was trying to get a Flinx Staff in my current playthrough, needed a refresher on how much Fur I needed so I took one to the Guide, saw that it needed 10 and thought “Wow I don’t remember it being that high”
Lots of good changes to summoner, some weak stuff that needs to be buffed, and then this change for whatever god forsaken reason
Flinxes are still obnoxiously uncommon compared to other enemies so I really don’t get this either
Didn’t they mention they were changing how flinx spawn? I’ll try to find where they mentioned it but I feel like they did.
This is the kind of thing that makes the Calamity Devs hard.
Spent like an hour farming tonight to get it for a new summoner playthrough, lo and behold, petty modifier. -25% damage🤦‍♂️
My guess is because you can get the deer thing in chests now, they figure you can use the fur you would have used on that on the staff instead? That’s the best I’ve got.
This made my life a living hell for a solid hour and a half. Some of the most sloggish gameplay, I SWEAR Flinxs are ALSO more rare than the other caverns ice biome enemies.
flinxes are ridiculously rare, it took me 2 hours to finish the set in my last summoner run. i dont know why they made it cost more. Well, hopefully the summoner prefix buffs are good enough that i can skip getting flinx gear entirely
I’m going to be perfectly real I never used it. I got the coat and left instantly I never used the buddies. I just got Abigail she works well enough for me. Especially with how easy it is to get reforges on her at least my strategies better
