I thought they just had long hair, which is always desirable.

Huh, I didn’t realize that. I just assumed when I played with a bunch of mods one of them decided to make Leah’s ex a girl for flavor. I always play as a male farmer so I’d only seen the male design.

Who??

I have like 300 hours into SDV and I have no clue who Ken is.
Maybe this’ll blow your mind as well. If you play a male farmer, your mom is the one who sends you letters and gifts, but the female farmer has the dad send them stuff.

Kel also changes their gender to match yours if you change between heart events. >!Wizard’s basement!< for those not in the know.
I like to think of it as they’re jealous and going full “Anything they can do I can do better!”

ngl i kinda dislike that her ex changes to match the farmer but i dont have the exact words to explain it. it just makes her feel like her sexuality revolves around the farmer i guess?
But that might have been a karma farm too since that person posted two posts ever and zero comments.

I have over 1,000 hours in this game and had no clue who this was. Maybe I should talk to Leah more lol

in what cutscene does he appear?

Yeah. I dislike that. It reduces a canon sexuality to another instance of player sexual.
From always being bi to reality warping around the mc to make her into whatever the mc is.
Id’ve preferred they always be a girl. Bring Leah’s queerness front and center.
Like I’m fine with basically everyone being playersexual. It makes sense mechanically. You need everyone to be available to every player, and you can’t just make them all openly bi. That’d be odd. But an occasional bi person slots into a player-sexual environment pretty fucking well. This feels like going out of the way to avoid depicting a bi person.

Idk I think Kel should always be a woman

Oh hey look more repost karma farming.
Someone got the same typo from Potato Games – https://www.facebook.com/mypotatogames/posts/today-i-learned-that-ken-is-always-the-same-gender-as-the-farmer-in-stardew-vall/846889834361371/
Which probably swiped it from this post – https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/1myzoge/today_i_learned_that_kel_is_always_the_same/

This feels like a Silkpost
No matter the gender, they are always ugly.
