This video will be nothing new for longtime viewers of the channel, but I wanted to consolidate these into a video for the new update.
Also, you may recognize a mix of Terraria 1.4.4 and Terraria 1.4.5 footage here; some footage is reused. However, I can assure you that I've checked that they should still work on 1.4.5.2.
This reads more as a hit list for Re-Logic than anything else.

I don’t see why (or how) they’d get rid of the shimmer trick. It’s so obscure a casual player will never know about it, and if you’re willing to do all that work then I feel like you kinda just deserve it

I remember a long time ago Terraria devs said they would not try to patch the liquid duplication glitches that have been around since the start. Because people find them fun and they are not major exploits etc. So I feel like a lot glitches or tricks are left in for similar reason. Not saying they all are. Maybe it's just an excuse to not have to deal with it. But I think some truth in it.

The shimmer finder and water draining thing aren't technically glitches. The logic is working exactly as expected, it's just that the expected logic has a silly effect when used in those specific ways. They're more of exploits than bugs.
there's no reason to remove shimmer finder. if a player wanted to find shimmer that badly, they would just load the world in tedit.

I’m honestly confused that the hammered platforms got patched making the old ones army far more annoying. But Npc limit cheese is still here. That one is far more well known and affects a huge portion of the game.
On skyblock, the painter just SPAWNED IN SHIMMER, got STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, died, and dropped an UNREAL PAINT GUN, which I just discovered has a new addition in 1.4.5 where it changes the color of slimes it hits!
I JUST GOT F#$%ING MASSIVELY TROLLED BY 1.4.5 HOLY S#$% RELOGIC.
I wondered if shimmering a Lucky Clover would do anything, and a got a Wilted Clover, and ALL IT SAYS IS THAT THROWING IT IN SHIMMER "WASN'T THE BEST IDEA"

I don't know if I am just lucky, but I can guesstimate the general location of the shimmer pretty reliably somehow.
Crimson biome hugging the ocean on the left side of my world, I dig down one of those crimson heart veins, and I manage to breach straight into the shimmer corridor less than a minute into the expedition.

The reason why the shimmer finder still works is because they didn’t change anything with the world gen default RNG or the first guide name RNG, so unless they specifically go after it, it will stay, and frankly I don’t see why they would go after it since it’s not broken to find the shimmer faster
I hope they never fix the liquid deletion glitch just because of how funny it is

theres a duping glitch that i dont know if it was patched or not, but in hardmode, using crystal shards on stairs (i dont remember how its done specifically) you are able to duplicate the crystals and sell them
