In terms of raw combat utility, the Ice Wand and Fairy Box are the clear winners. For making more money, it’s the Parrot.

Ice rod. Holds them still so i can take them out and get the loot.
Frog is great for getting through things fast but you don’t get any of the goodies.

Combat in unmodded Stardew is already easy enough, I prefer the Parrot or Frog. Parrot gets extra flavor win when marrying Emily.

I simply cannot give up the ice wand. Those clutch saves when the flying serpent or the irridium bats are coming my way is amazing. Finding the one that fires off nearly every second and a half for a five second hold or something like that is a goal for every one of my play throughs.

Kinda depends. I like the fairy box for Skull Cavern, especially the Hungry Challenge. You don’t need to bring food if you have a good fairy box (level 3 or better). As long as you fight the monsters instead of running away.
I don’t use the basilisk paw. You can get the same effect with the right boots and rings. I don’t find the parrot egg or golden spur very useful, so I don’t use those, either.
I don’t find the frog that useful, either. It can only eat one monster, then there’s a cooldown period. And you don’t get any loot or credit for the monsters it eats.
The ice rod and magic quiver are both very helpful. They can keep the monsters off you if you’re getting mobbed. And you get credit and loot for the monsters killed by the quiver.
The ice rod can be great, freezing a huge serpent in place while you whack at it. But it can be inconvenient in the volcano, where it can freeze lava lurks where you can’t kill them.

I used to be an Ice Wand fan, but Quiver + Napalm Ring is my new favorite. I can be taking care of one thing while defeated enemies are passively clearing a path ahead for me.

I rely heavily on the fairy box when doing qi challenges that prevent eating to heal, other than that I just like to have a little frog buddy when I’m on the farm and doing my daily stuff
