the funniest possible tierskip possible in 1.4.5


Inspired by this post by u/PremiumMeats – you can theoretically obtain hellstone but the process is the following:

golden bug net (1.25% angler quest drop) -> lava critters -> lava fishing -> obsidian crate -> hellstone

and no the only way to get the lavaproof fishing hook so you can fish without lava critters is from the crate too lmao

    This is too much fishing RNG to be worth the tier skip lol, at most may be a good method for legendary difficulty

    I think this is fair honestly. The reaver shark nerf was needed because that one was kind of piss easy to skip with just a tiny bit of patience.

    This one at very best at least requires you to get to hell before doing evil and do some farming for critters.

    Hellstone has been pre-boss since release iirc. That is, if we define pre-boss as in not *beating* any bosses. Nothing stopping you from partially fighting the evil boss and using its drops to make a pick to mine hellstone with.

    That’s what happened in my current playthrough. Only killed 2 bosses so far (King Slime and the Eye of Cthulhu). But I already have the hellstone armour set.
