I can't enchant any item with any enchantments. I tried multiple enchantments, single enchantments, level 1s, level 4s. I'm level 42. It only lets me rename the weapon. Even with the book in the slot if i rename only the name changes. Why won't it let me do enchantments

Are you on bedrock on a java server? Because i believe that creates this issue since bedrock doesnt have sweeping edge

The anvil is working fine. It’s the book NBT that is wrong – Sweeping Edge has been written to the item’s enchantment array, and NOT the ‘stored_enchantments’ array which is what the anvil uses
Basically, you need a legit Enchanted Book, not a fake one
What is on your sword already?
What is weird is that the book has a damage value. So I guess the sweeping edge is somehow not stored in the book, but the book directly has sweeping edge. Try punching things with it and see if it has sweeping edge.

you somehow got an enchanted book with sweeping edge as an enchantment on it instead of stored in it. Did you do anything of note to get the book?
