Building fish tanks in Minecraft is tricky. The color of the fish and coral all gets drowned out by the thick blueberry jello that is Minecraft's water.

So I always wished there was a way to see them clearly without using a mod or resource pack. So that it doesn't affect the water in the rest of the world, and so you know that other players are seeing the same thing.

I actually like this idea, but does that mean the entire Minecraft ocean is just really really dirty?

  2. Nice idea. Mussels maybe give us purified water to brew better potions if put in a water supply?

I like the idea but they should simply make the water overlay more transparent instead. The game uses a dedicated texture (water_overlay.png) for rendering the water sides against transparent blocks such as glass, so making it more transparent wouldn’t have any side effects (flowing water wouldn’t become more transparent)

  4. I like this idea. A “mob” that improve underwater visibility, even you are not in the water.
