I gifted her the glasses once after seeing a recommendation to do so and her dialogue is along the lines of "oh there's my reading glasses, they're so dirty though" which I interpret as her vision being so bad, she doesn't know you handed her literal trash and thought you found her lost reading glasses. Then if you gift it to her again, her dementia replays the scenario over and over. It feels too mean and I had to make her cookies the next day to apologize :'((
I remember when I was new to the game, I got a pair of broken glasses and assumed that they were Evelyn's so I gifted them to her thinking she'd be happy to know where they went.
This was way before 1.6 made them a liked gift and she was not too happy as a result, so I never tried again. Guess I was a little too ahead of the curve lol.

In one of my saves, my first 10 heart was with Evelin, JUST giving her broken glasses.
