The first several games recommended are games that cost money to play. It doesn’t matter what you want, it just matters what pays. Roblox feeds you cash grabs.
I can’t find a decent source on this, but these were my top recommended games, and there were a couple more that cost money to play before I got to any actual fun games.

I have the same problem. I never bought a game and after the chat update, those games flooded my recommendations.
Also kinda unrelated, the last one used to be free but became paid due to trollers.

roblox recommends the top games on the site, recommended for you isn’t really an algorithm like youtubes. and also gamedevs make that money, roblox has a small tax.
it’s also important to note that a few of these games are in pre alpha and are early access

Genuinely Cowboy game and 3008 infinite retail are worth the robux. Both are very high quality, too
