Do you guys know what do these "minecoins", "maps", "creator items" etc mean?

all I knew was that, in Minecraft, one could create their own skins and download custom maps. What are these additions?

  1. Those additions are for the “Bedrock” version, so Console, Mobile, basically everything that isn’t Java, the main version if you will, it depends, do you want to play on PC or Console?

  2. If you’re gonna play java edition then just buy the standard edition. Even if you wanna play bedrock standard is fine deluxe gets you some of their currency which you shouldn’t care about at this point. So standard always

  3. those are for bedrock only

you can also download skins (they are any minecraft .png skin from places like namemc, plantminecraft etc.) / minecraft maps for bedrock pc/mobile as well

[https://minecraft.wiki/w/Minecoin](https://minecraft.wiki/w/Minecoin) minecons are what you use to buy DLC in the marketplace

The standard version is what you want to get, the deluxe version are just some included DLC

  4. Its better to buy standard and then just buy minecoins in bedrock edition if you are interested in that. Cosmetics aint worth it

  5. I assume you’re buying it for PC since you’re on the MC website. Don’t buy deluxe, you won’t really benefit from the little they give you for 10 bucks more

  6. Minecoins are microtransactions that allow you to buy things from the marketplace. There are some cool things like Actions & Stuff, but a lot of the marketplace is sloppy, stolen or scummy.

Maps are custom worlds you can buy. Texture packs change the look of the game.

Creator items are character customization you can buy. Skin packs and emotes too.

Also, all of this is only useful if you want to play Bedrock Edition. On Java Edition, you can get most content for free from community run websites.

the deluxe is worth it if you’re intending to play modded/ intending to buy marketplace packs anyways but otherwise not worth it

    NO NO NO

DON’T GET BEDROCK BENIFITS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON’T GET BEDROCK.

  9. Yeah definitely get the standard version. The extras are only for bedrock edition (which is objectively inferior) and just not worth it for an extra 10 bucks. You can easily download your own texture packs and addons etc on pc.

Deluxe isn’t worth it, and besides, minecoins are only usable in bedrock. Or if you’re a bedrock player then yeah, it is a tad bit worth it, but still not over the “yeah sure” Line

  11. Deluxe just gives you some extra DLC stuff and Minecoins which isn’t worth it imo.

    Definitions:
    – Minecoins: currency used in the in-game marketplace to buy skins, maps, resource packs etc for Bedrock edition
    – Maps: Worlds with structures already built, or with special ways to play such as “Skyblock” where you are on an island in the void with only a few items to survive
    – Texture packs: Packs that change the look and aesthetics of the game
    – Character Creator Items: There is a character creator in the game where you can customize different hairs, faces, accessories etc. for your character. These are extra items for the creator
    – Emotes: Gestures and dances your character can do which other players can see
    – Skin packs: “Skins” are how your character looks. These packs contain multiple skins

I mean, if you already wanted to spend extra money on Bedrock to get DLC then it’s a great deal, but if you don’t want to do that or want to just play Java, standard is the way to go.

  12. If you play the Java version, you basically get everything bedrock offers and some stuff they have on their marketplace for free through modification on the game, from performance enhancing one, to gameplay altercation, to adventure maps, to texture packs and so much more

Standard version. The deluxe content is for bedrock edition which you probably won’t need (bedrock is the version of mc for consoles, mobile, and windows pc and can play together, java edition is the one you are probably interested in, computer only)

since you are on pc, both versions allow you to import skins and download stuff for free (bedrock does have an ingame store for the console players, unfortunately it sucks), but regardless I would play the java edition as that is the one for pc and you really dont need bedrock unless you have friends who dont own computers. Plus java is so much less limited in mods

  14. Unless you are *completely* locked into the mobile version I would recommend Java (computer version). All of the ‘extras’ in the more expensive package are micro transaction grossness, inherent to the platform.

Java doesn’t have micro transactions. And Java has free mods. And Java has free skins. And Java has free content from the community. And Java has free etc…

    Mobile version has ||my disdain||.

  15. Microtransactions. The top one includes Microtransactions.

There’s Java and Bedrock edition. Bedrock has better performance but is filled with Microtransactions, Java has good mod support.

If you are playing java, deluxe version is not worth it, because you can get so much free skins and maps and everything from planet minecraft. I dont really know for bedrock tho

If you’re gonna be playing nodded and stuff you’ll be using java so skins and minecoins are redundant

  18. Standard

,,Deluxe” is stuff only for Bedrock edition, but it’s recommended to mostly play Java & not Bedrock

  19. TeamAquaAdminMatt on

Deluxe is literally nothing, all that is bedrock exclusive and doesn’t affect Minecraft.

    DO NOT GET THE DELUXE!!!

ITS JUST MICROSOFTS WAY OF MAKING MONEY ON MICROTRANSACTIONS.

    DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!

    just get the original

Are you’re seriously going to pay 10 dollars for memecoins & cosmetic items?
    please don’t

  22. Pretty much all the deluxe stuff is for bedrock it’s pretty much just free things from the shop but if you play Java you can get it all for free anyways by downloading it online

  23. kind of insane that theyre advertising that you get the launcher as well..

its like writing “chickens included” on both of them…

Unless youre going to be a bedrock only player who is really into skns and emotes and all that jazz, I wouldn’t ever reccomend the first one. If you play pc pretty much anything that bedrock makes you pay for you could do yourself, like downloading skins/making one yourself, learning how to install mods in place of addons (plus, the mods are free lol) Even stuff like emotes and skins that are more complicated than the basic character model are totally do-able with mods and texture packs and stuff.
Java feels like it’s for anyone who knows how to use a computer, while Bedrock with all of its dlc crap just seems to prey on parents of kids too young to use a computer.
(Semi related – back when I was a kid and minecraft was relatively new, my dad taught me how to install mods and resource packs and whatnot and I’ve been doing that ever since. It was actually very handy in learning a good bit of comupter skills so young)

  25. Minecoins is basically their useless shop.

Buy standard, literally all you need. You can always just place in texture packs you want.

Skin packs… You will probably choose one and never change, and like 80% of the time you won’t even see anything while playing besides the sleeve. You can also place your own skin. I’ve been playing with jotaro kujo’s for like 4 years, since 2021 I believe, never changed it again.

So yeah… You’re gonna pay for all the add-ons but probably not use them at all.
