Players are asking for more marriage partners, and the only new additions since the game's launch have been Shane and Emily, added a long time ago in version 1.1.
Who will these two mysterious new partners be? It's possible they'll add two new characters to the game, but it's also possible they'll be existing ones.
I'm thinking of Sandy, Clint, Gus, or Mr. Rasmodius.
But some want to separate Robin and Demetrius, or for Lewis and Marnie to disappear.

Sandy so we can help her live in the valley she loves so much.
Clint so he stops being so goddamn down on himself and shows an ounce of character growth.
Is this based on anything CA has actually said about the contents of 1.7, or just wishcasting? (edit: apparently this is not just wishcasting, comes from the 10th anniversary interview with IGN. maybe link that, OP?)
Sandy and Willy make the most sense to me, though as they are vendors who run their own stores, that probably poses an interesting logistical challenge.
personally i’d rather the existing marriage candidates get more content before we get any new ones, since marriage is kind of lacking.
I guess Clint and Sandy. as much as i want Demetrius I don’t wanna break up his existing marriage. and i think Clint and Sandy could use the development.

Clint’s entire character could absolutely be saved if he’s given a rework to become a marriage candidate. Even if the marriage doesn’t go through, he can always undergo Haley levels of character revamp just by having those opportunities to have his character explored.
In fact I’d rather see event expansions for every non-romance character. Pierre, Marnie, Gus, Robin, Demetrius, Sandy, George, Evelyn etc are all criminally underused characters. And Lewis, the MAYOR.
Please god let me marry Marnie. She deserves so much better than that old hack. Also nobody else in town has all *that*.
MARNIE 💕 She’s a cutie, an absolute sweetheart, and Lewis doesn’t deserve her – and she’s the only villager that I can think of to actually talk about enjoying farm work (before marriage) aside from Shane and his chickens. I’d also like an older female character more age-appropriate for me 😅 Marrying teens and people in their early 20s feels a bit off now for me personally

Definitely Sandy, while she isn’t necessarily a character I interact with much I feel bad that the oil time she has any social interaction is during festival times.
For another dude, maybe Gus or Clint? Again they’re not characters that I’m a massive fan of or anything but they seem the most logical.
Sandy would be so good!! Can we maybe get a new male option instead of the existing ones? I feel like most of them are losers or mean (sorry if you like them).
