By switching to a different phaseblade/phasesaber after throwing one out, you can send one out as the previous one retracts, letting you get double the hits. Good for single target and Very Good for multi target if you can get consistent with it. You can do this by switching back and forth between two sabers or collecting a lot of them and scrolling by one slot each time like I did.
Something to keep in mind is that the weapon types need to be unique, using the same color of phaseblade/phasesaber will just retract the original saber. This unfortunately means that this technique does not work with the keybrand. You can still do this with one saber and a keybrand but the damage is not as good as just using the keybrand normally when factoring in the keybrand's bonus damage to weakened foes.
