i just want the damn party girl man… i just entered hardmode in my new journey world and now literally every day the Truffle shows up. Doesn't matter if i kill it, let it depart, or even just keep it around. NO npcs except the truffle show up.
I REALLY don't want to go through the effort of making a surface mushroom right now, but this idiot fungus is holding my npcs for ransom.

In the change log of 1.4.5.4 there is “Fixed NPCs refusing to arrive if the Truffle NPC is homeless.” under bug fixes. So try updating the game.

Making the truffle a house is not that hard anymore since him showing up allows you to get Dark Blue Solution which makes making an above ground mushroom biome a breeze once you get the clentaminator
