I'm surprised that 1/4 the players who have tried terraria haven't made it through the first night. I figured some players would try the game and not enjoy it, but didn't expect that many
At least some of those people will have actually survived the night, but did so before 1.3 was released and then never picked up the game again.

Pretty sure I heard somewhere that ~60-80% of people who pick up a game either never download/install it, boot it up, or they do play but it’s for only like 10 minutes. (Don’t quote me on that percentage, but I remember it being pretty high.) Some may play for a few hours and then call it quits, perhaps after a play session or two. I mean, look at how many players have certain achievements such as finding loot underground, chopping a tree, etc. ~60% here, ~70% there, ~80% there…

I’m sure the numbers are skewed by the fact these achievements weren’t always in the game

Some people probably buy a game and immediately mod it too

These steam things aren’t retroactive, so Steam probably added it sometime well after the release of the game. It’s been out for 15 years now after all.

I’m guessing most of them just never even played the game. Like they bought it but just never got around to it
