A Practical Guide to Maxing Luck in Terraria 1.4.5

Counterpoint: For a brief window, the lucky bundle of balloons is sufficient mobility so that the plus luck from the horseshoe on the bundle of balloons is actually viable.
The pain of getting luck up to a meaningful degree and maintaining it… makes me want to just mod the game so a lucky clover is worth like 20X more.
…potions?
LANTERN NIGHTS CAN BE CONTROLLED, only after a boss is defeated for the first time the night after is guaranteed to be a lantern night, but it only applies to each boss once, so its limited
I did some calculations with luck, and with really rare items, luck proves to be pretty useful. On average, rod of discord is obtained after ~278 kills. With .4 luck (gnome and torch luck), it drops to ~240 kills. At .6 luck (maintaining high spirits from kites, and lucky coin + horseshoe), it drops to ~225. Saving yourself from killing about 40 more mobs from doing something as simple as placing a gnome down and the right torch (which is easier after doing Torch God) is a no brainer. And the benefits are even greater with very rare drops like biome keys!
Luck also has a chance to increase your fishing power, so place gnomes down when you can while fishing!
it's a grand pile indeed
Also killing the guide gives ladybug luck.
Wouldnt the torch luck apply everywhere in the “molepeople” secret seed?
Watching this to increase my chances at gambling
omg eleventh hour..
Fun fact: Killing the Guide gives you +0.067 ladybug luck (meaning it's overridden by other ladybug-related luck changes) for 4 minutes. This means you're essentially guaranteed some luck going into the Wall of Flesh fight.
"+5% damage and DR is no joke."
Yes, it is.
8:21 actually demon torches have no effect for the torch luck in the underworld
It's great to know about the kite buff, It makes it worth it to carry one around in your inventory and getting that buff before doing anything.
Well luck potions were slightly buffed with increased droprate of pearls and the introduction of Flask Station from Dead Cells collab
6:57 if you fish in a hallow desert you can at least fish up prismite (lifeforce potions)
aaah Ladybugs are the easiest to control, since u get the luck when touching a ladybug, but negative luck when killing one, so get critter book from the Zoologist catch ladybugs when theyarrive, and everytime u need that bit of extra luck release one touch it catch it again, i just keep mine in piggy bank opening it with moey through
1:36 oneshot ost mentioned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you completely forgot about the guide grinding machine for 0.000002 luck for a couple minutes everytime he dies!!!!!!!
what about building a guide grinder to have even better luck ?
Hhhhmmmm must've been the wind
I wish the Wizard had a special option for you to check your luck, like the "Status" option from the Dryad
everyone in the comments are idiots…. the math is so easy, what a drag…
Not knowing anything, I instantly threw my clover into the shimmer… 😖
Hello, I have a question about torch luck. Does a normal torch in a normal underground provide luck?
Do the lucky clover buff stack with other lucky clovers?? I have 3 in my inventory and idk if it is better than just having 1
Great video, i'll definitely watch this again if i'm desperate for some luck :v
Honestly i'd have more incentive to do luckmaxxing if it's a visible stat, cuz y'know, numbers go up :v
Do Luckyclower Stack? I have six XD
This question might be answered already, but what is the stuff u use for ur vanity set because idk what the things ur using by looks
Getting gnomes is way more tedious than getting lantern nights
Just killing a king slime will trigger a lantern night
Lantern night is not random, it appears after the boss has been defeated
So we're not going to address getting kicked from ToSRT your first time beating it?
Ok, no problem.
i’ve opened over 100 oysters without a pink pearl. I genuinely think my game is broken. I’ve gotten like 20 black but 0 pink
3:06 Apparently held torches also contribute to this luck, even on the surface. Obviously, it's still useless for bosses, but holding a correct torch while on an AFK farm wouldn't hurt. (And this is assuming that this wasn't changed in 1.4.5, in which case, disregard evenrthung I have stated.
Ngl, I kinda wish the luck from lucly clovers stacked, like they're so rare anyway, and the amount is low enough, that it shouldn't break anytthing, except in like journey mode, but even then Journey Mode has a god mode toggle XD
4:20 67!!1!
Very useful! Im happy to see an actual practical guide instead of some limitbreakers esque house of cards set up <3
But what this all worth???
Oneshot music…… :]
Oneshot
Why did they make luck such a complex stat?!?!
I wish throwing in excessive amounts of money would just keep it at a stable 0.2 luck but extend the time. If i'm throwing away that much money can you at least give me the courtesy to not reup it every hour? Idk, I've just never really been sold on the decaying buff idea. Makes it annoying to think about effectively. Maybe thats the point, I guess.
What about minimizing luck?
