Im trying to add mods to minecraft however im running in to some performance issues. I decided to clean reinstall MC while also adding things one by one to find the culprit

Now, I decided to compare vanilla to just the neoforge loader with no mods and my fps has cut from 500 to about 280 (dw I confirmed it was 280 without the pause screen). Is this normal?

Vanilla is so smooth and nice but I really need some mods.

    Here are the JVM arguments atm, I was going to increase the RAM once mods were added
    -Xmx2G -Xms2G -XX:+UseZGC -XX:+UseCompactObjectHeaders

    What’s your monitor’s refresh rate? Anything above that doesn’t do anything.

    Also 2 GB ram is not enough. Always allocate 8 GB and see how it runs.

    Exactly. This is modded. It’s different. There might not be a culprit because it’s a gradual decrease for each mod. Perfectly normal.

    Also, modlist. We can’t help you without it.
