I love that him acting all shifty about it makes it SO much more suspicious than if he’d just asked for truffle oil. Like if he’d just asked for it, I’d assume he was using it for cooking like “oh he’s making a fancy dinner” but the fact he’s like “don’t ask any questions about why I need it. That’s none of your business”. That lets me know for certain it’s for freaky stuff

Truffle oil is such a weird choice for “dirty” activities. It’s gritty and very pungent. Corn oil or vegetable oil is a better (keyword: better…not recommended) than freaking truffle oil.
My guess is that he wants to use it to make Gus’ take out more palatable and doesn’t want to hurt Gus’ feelings by asking for more sauce.
