i think the argument that this is creepy could be valid if it wasn't already established that the player and elliott are dating. but you already asked him out! the two of you have already dated for a bit and now he says yes, let's keep doing this, i love you 🙂 i dont think this is creepy or wrong at all
I never understood why his event was considered creepy. He's literally your boyfriend by this point, each character tries to give you a cute 1st kiss. Elliot is my favorite romance but I could be a noon, only romanced 2 characters

I personally don't get why people hate Elliott so much.. it isn't just his heart event but sometimes his whole personality.. I really love Elliott, he's my beautiful husband, and I get so sad when people think he's creepy when you're literally dating at this point.. they don't deserve my boy 🥺😔
I dont get the hate on eliot. Your character is dating them. I would understand if he was like gaston from beauty and the beast but Eliot isnt even close
I take the trembling was your character getting excited and is happy.or like you said about the old boat.
But wouldnt our characters be problematic since we stalk all of them to give gifts.
Whilst I agree with you on this video there is one specific thing that I believe affects this scenario greatly.
In an episode of "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" Dennis buys a boat with the intention of luring women onto it. He speaks about how they would be more open to his advances "because of the implication" that he could leave them in the ocean.
That episode and the line "because of the implication" went viral with tons of memes.
I do honestly believe that people relate the creepy predator vibes of Dennis in that episode to Elliott in this cutscene.
People who think this is creepy are so dumb lol yeah at 10 hearts a kiss is more than expected. In fact I demand a kiss with TONGUE. Great video as always <3

Elliot heart events are some of my favorite along with harvey. But i tend to perfer the older characters
I have never achieved a ten heart even for any man yet because i never romanced them. Might have romanced alex, i can't remember

I think you hit the nail on the head. You as the player must go out of your way to establish a "we're dating" status with many of the bachelors and bachelorettes. If they make the first move with a little kiss it's not creepy, it's expected. And even after they kiss you the option is there to reject them if it makes you uncomfortable.
I think the whole reason this controversy came up is because players see the bouquet giving as a game mechanic, and forget the underlying dating/boyfriend component, so when Elliot says he's thinking of the player not as a friend, they think of the event through a friendship lens rather than boyfriend/girlfriend.
If Elliot did not himself say that he was beginning to feel differently about the player, which is weird since you're dating, this wouldn't come up.
To your example about 10 heart events I would like to add Sebastian who takes you on a ride in the middle of the night to the middle of nowhere. If he wasn't so popular this would probably be considered way creepier than a boat ride.
Also unfortunately Eliott is very unpopular with the majority of content creators. And I don't know any that would consider him a main love interest. Well I will always choose my unpopular husband.
I never thought he was pushy or creepy, it just felt sweet to me
