Terraria Theory: You know how many bosses relate to the Moon Lord? With the Crimson boss being his brain? Eater of Worlds was maybe the Tape Worm of Cthulhu
reposted so people don't have to see realistic tape worm
The Eater of Worlds is presumably representative of his spinal cord, which explains why his counterpart is the Brain and also Mechdusa.

Huh, I just realized something with this post. Aren’t the evil bosses kinda thematically reversed with their biome? Corruption feels more like an assimilation-brainy evil and Crimson more like a giant-worm-fleshy evil.

Or you know, his intestines – which makes way more sense

It’s obviously his dong.

I usually interpret the EoW as an amalgamation of tens of Soul Eaters (which in turn are corrupt animals and people). That’s why it can split into multiple segments and simply looks like a long soul eater

eater of worlds is actually his spine

this is some r/okbuddyterrarian level nonsense. I’m not sure we have that sub, I’m not sure we need that sub, but regardless.

i’ve always interpreted Brain of Cthulhu to be in the same vein as Eye of Cthulhu where it’s not actually part of the Moon lord’s body, it just got named that way for being a large and powerful creature, seeing as EoC has “True Eye of Cthulhu” from Moon Lord.

you make a very interesting theory and 1000% makes sense ngl

I always interpreted it as the corruption being the same as the crimson, just after a long period of time. Eventually the brain dies, the vitality of the crimson ebbs away into the corruption, and the worm imbibed the latent madness and power of the brain of cthulu

This is better
Guess I’ll put my comment again, lol.
Maybe that’s why his lower half was removed 😉
