I made myself a challenge to be a market farmer and make most of my income from selling raw unprocessed crops. The pics compare year 1 fall (pumpkins) with year 2 fall (fairy roses) which is where I am now.
The end of the challenge will be when I can fill the entire standard farm, greenhouse, and Ginger Island farm with Ancient Fruit. No coops, barns, sheds, or other things taking up space that don't add to the number of Ancient fruit on the farm. Currently a bit over half of Ginger Island farm is Ancient Fruit already, and I'm hoping that I can get this challenge done in Year 3.
I will be renovating the field over the winter to get rid of the last of the quality sprinklers and expand the iridium sprinklers with pressure nozzles as far as I can before spring. I will also be moving the greenhouse to the other side of the house if I can to open up a few more tillable tiles there. I will build a few more junimo huts as well – even though they do take up tiles, when they are fed with raisins they harvest more produce from the area so it more than makes up for the tiles that the hut takes up.
It has been a loooot of work so far, I'll gladly answer questions if you have any.

Do y’all even enjoy playing the game at this point lol
This is solid work. I can’t even imagine how much money you’ll be pulling when it goes fruit. What fish and why for the pond?
Here. Saw this at another post. Hopefully it helps. Farms looks great 👍https://thorinair.github.io/Stardew-Profits/#produce_0-equipment_0-sellRaw_false-sellExcess_false-aging_0-planted_1-maxSeedMoney_0-days_28-fertilizer_0-level_0-season_2-buySeed_false-replant_false-nextyear_false-buyFert_false-average_0-fertilizerSource_0-seeds_(pierre_true-joja_true-special_true)-skills_(till_false-agri_false-arti_false-gatherer_false-botanist_false)-foodIndex_0-foodLevel_0-extra_true-disableLinks_false-byHarvest_false-crossSeason_false-foragingLevel_0-predictionModel_false
Are you able to plant that entire field on the first day of the month?
Why’d you grow fairy roses in year 2?
My immediate thoughts are you can completely fill the farm and GI if you replace sprinklers with the use of rain totems. You wont even need to raise pigs since you’ll occasionally get totems from other means and just need two for the one day for it to meet your criteria.
Second thought was you can fill the untillable spaces with pots and deluxe retaining soil. Easier to do if you’re chasing clay now rather than later.
Also serious question:
How did you get iridium sprinklers in year 1? You must have made it to skull cavern real quick! Did you take the joja route and how did you get so much money to buy all this that leads up to your succes in so little time? I‘m trying to figure out how tf did you manage that 😂i‘m so impressed!!
Great work, OP. So are you just kinda vibing what you plant now until you get to full ancient fruit? And what do you plant during winter?
