This whole time I've been manually moving items out of the regular chest so I can replace it with the big chests. Then tediously moving all the items back into the big chest after it was placed. Little did I know placing a big chest directly on a regular chest will upgrade it, with all the items still inside! Huge quality of life feature, can't believe I didn't realize until now…
