I built this farm block for block with a squematic (only difference's the filled in corners, but i added those right now to see if that affected anything), and for some reason, on my skyblock world the farm's bright during day despite checking for any holes, but in my test world where it's the exact same farm, it's pitch black and works efficiently all day long. I used slabs for both, yet on my skyblock it's bright and on the test world it's pitch black, so it's not that. I also tried setblocking the slabs for solid blocks on my skyblock and somehow it's still bright.

Ig half slabs can let light through it.It happened to me in bedrock, not sure how it works in java but im pretty sure its the half slabs on the roof
You used slabs for the roof? Slabs let light in so it might not work
In bedrock slabs let in light.
It’s it actually letting in light though? I forget, can you check the light level with the debug menu? Are you able to open that up and check that?
have you tried placing torches in there and then breaking them to try and update the light?
