I got so tired of waiting for it to rain that i just did the lava slime trick, it still took like 20 extra ingame days to get rain after that, never been happier with my decision
You are actually also intended to be able to use the hell method, as evidenced by the fact that in skyblock lava slimes drop lava, all mobs drop more of it, and lava slimes even drop lava in classic mode.
Dont forget to mention you can make the process even more excruciating if you ignore stone slimes and get stone exclusively from shimmer transmutation. (i totally knew stone slimes were a thing before bridging outwards, yes)
I had to do this in my skyblock world, BECAUSE IT DIDN'T RAIN FOR 3 PLAY SESSIONS, we had a mob farm with lava before water. And to put salt in the wound it rained 3 days in a row after i already got it using the shimmer
the day the update came out i started a playthrough of skyblock with my friends buttt we also turned on for the worthy because coop playthroughs feel too short even on master mode so we wanted the max difficulty. but little did we know that for the worthy actually removes the shimmer island so it took us forever to figure out how to get water lmao
Fishing is in fact not important for the skyblock seed because the Game gives you Everything important to complete the Game in multiple ways. Only in old skyblock maps is it important especially for the Heart crystals and maybe bomb fish for demolitionist for bombs so stop Talking about stuff you dont know about. Not the First time you Said some bullshit
Easiest way to get water would just be to build the fishing area and wait, The rain will just fill it up on its own. I've had to open all the doors to my Skyblock house to get rid of the water, Didn't realize rain now can flood any where it comes down.
The fact that touching the bottom of the world kills you is such a terrible decision from the dev team, being able to walk over there was so iconic, I'm so sad 🥲

I had to do it the “wrong” way. I waited for 4 hours and it never rained once
I got 6 slime rains and no regular rain, so I went the lava slime route

Why do the hive thing? You can craft buckets of honey at the furnace using a bucket and honey blocks
