not completely sure how it works, but if you repeatedly power a chest with a 1/4 timer, cant you make the star farm completely automatic
or do you need to be near it or something?

If I understand it correctly you don’t even need to AFK to collect the fallen stars they need, when you activate normal chests with wires they collect items automatically so you could just run it with a timer while you do anything else.
Put a chest at the conveyor belt so you don't have to stand there

You can just fully automate star collecting by hooking up a chest with a 1 second timer and never care about it again.
You just get 90% of all fallen stars (except those that despawn on daytime) and do other things or run a different farm fully afk, as the stars always spawn across the entire world and still get moved by the conveyor belt regardless of how far away you are.

Yeah, rainbow boulders are OP. I was playing Journey mode with God mode on and chose to give them the ultimate challenge: 10x enemy spawn, master mode, blood moon, and water candle w/ battle potion. Had a radar, it almost never went past 75 enemies detected, no matter which biome I went to. Also, I found out that rainbow boulders can trigger other rainbow boulders.

You can also throw the boulder in the shimmer too. It will make it into the one that you want without having to waste stars.

i hope the keep this in the game, if youre willing to spend that much time and 2 plat to cover a world with conveyor belts you deserve to shred through events, most people could probably beat the game in the time it takes to build the whole thing
How to get a boulder into inventory? Is it cractable
As if Journey Mode needed to get easier*. As far as *reasonable but powerful strats, the changes to Summoner stuff has made Sentries a lot better, and the Old One's Army stuff (Mostly just the Ballista and Fireball ones) is a bit nuts. Sentry hybrids are the new whip-stacking…especially with Magic, as Betsy's Wrath's debuff is insane…and no need for mana potions as you just use your sentries and a good whip when out of mana, and burst when you've got it…only making sure to keep up Betsy's Wrath's debuff on the target and occasionally blitzing with Razorpine when you've got a full bar and going for Whips when you don't. Because the debuff is so powerful against armor (-40), you can use a DoT flask for your whip over Ichor…such as venom.
Terraria players: there is a whole lot of ways to cheese events. Devs, do something!
