Insane amount of mobs spawning causing extreme lag

Working on my own cobblemon pack. fairly lightweight with no other content mods besides one that changes vanilla biomes and one that adds some blocks for decorations that can be crafted. all vanilla non hostile mobs besides bees and villagers are disabled. only cobblemon, bees, and villagers for entities. Sometimes randomly nearly 10k entities are loaded in but i cant see them and they arent affected by commands besides "/kill "@e" (quotations cuz dumb formatting) and i have no clue whats causing it or what they are? This seems to always happen near the spawn chunk. Fabric 1.21.1 on modrinth.
