I was thinking about how cool it would be to add another purple building block (I've seen and thought of Jacaranda trees specifically). On account of me (and many others it seems) not really going to the End. And that got me thinking on what building blocks we already have.
So I made a rough graph of them all. Each section is one of the 16 main colors we have in game. With the woods separated from the others as they're kind of their own category entirely. Each block chosen on the top row has at least a Stair and a Slab, and I split them by color (sry if I got smth wildly wrong).
With it all laid out like this, I definitely think we need some more colorful core building blocks. We have a lot of colorful accent blocks yeah, but building blocks would be just as cool. The purples only have the Purpur blocks, and the greens are only really teal, same kinda with the blue. Maybe yellow too, but it technically has four outside of Endstone, so it's doing alright I think.
I don't think Minecraft is gonna wanna add to many more woods though, cause at a certain point it looks a little ridiculous. They're either probs gonna go purple or green at some point, with a higher chance of purple considering Warped Wood and the later stages of Copper are pretty green.
Anyways what are yall's thoughts on this, what blocks would you want? And what blocks do you think Mojang will add later on?

I think we should have a proper iron block set with a grayish color scheme. It’s weird that in a game that significantly revolves around mining we can’t actually really build with iron/steel and have to resort to pretending stone is metal. Other metal building block sets I’d like to see are “dark iron”(same color as cauldrons etc.) and brass.
There’s a distinct lack of colder colours like green blue and purple. Turquoise got the ocean monuments though.
The hard part is how you do those colours since there’s few things that are naturally those colours.
I think they’re saving purple for an end update at a future time but the other two I’m stumped at finding a way to implement them.
