I think biome spread would be nice, IF it was better balanced. Or perhaps had new methods of containing/defending against it. Maybe a ""pylon of protection" that creates a small corruption/hallow immunity bubble. Not much, but enough to keep the surrounding area at the biome you want it. What i'd want for post ML content would be a New Game + type of deal. Maybe after you beat moonlord all the bosses get buffed up to his level, get an extra attack or two. And maaaybe one or two new drops "think expert mode accessories but way late game"
It would be cool if the Crimson and Corruption had a hardmode boss, and if you defeat it the biome doesn't spread anymore, and defeating the Empress of Light could stop the hallow one.
i think the worst thing is probably enemy spawn rates, they spawn just way too much, you rarely have time to even just build a platform without being molested by 10 slimes
The worst thing is probably the hyper active spawn rate. Until you get a good summon, it's hard to explore in peace or just exist anywhere that's not a town.
The worst thing about Terraria is its extremely front loaded difficulty curve. I'm not talking about simply not knowing what to do at the beginning of the game, I'm talking about game balance. Pre-boss is absolutely miserable, before you have any kind of armor weapons or movement tools it feels next to impossible to progress. It sucks dying to dozens of zombies for hours just for the rest of the game to not come even close to that. I feel like that makes the lack of guidance for new players even worse, to a newly generated player Zombies are impenetrable meat walls. I think they should have their HP and damage slashed in half on all difficulties.
1. Wyverns(when I need not even one spawns, when I don't need ofc one will spawn) 2. Hornet(I was building arena for plantera and when those hornets start attack me every 5 sec) 3. Biome spread (always have to defend my base) 4. Pillars (can kill you and tooking pretty long) 5. Any evil enemy that will follow yo azz 6. Early hardmode (no answer needed) 7. Golem (no answer needed) 8. Any surface jungle enemy(no answer needed) 9. Seedler for zenith (no answer needed because you know) 10. No boss rush( almost nothing to do post moonlord) 11. Shellphone's tree( luck based) 12. Ankh shield's tree ( luck based) 14. Random spawn of event( makes you waste time) 15. Spawn of evil biomes after walls defeat ( I hate when my jungle becomes crimsoned/corrupted) 16. Reforges( can take too much money) 17. Harpy (always here)
tbh this isnt mentioned enough but Nailhead from Solar Eclipse , tanky asf and the nails deal too much damage , are very fast and almost invisible , another annoying thing is the respawn timer which is way too long and the fact that in early hm npc houses get corrupted because of the V that generates
Honestly, I don’t think the game is too hard for new players to get into. I remember when I started playing and had zero clue what I was doing at first, but slowly figured it out as I played more.
I genuinely think this whole mindset is really just some convoluted form of gatekeeping; as I only ever see experienced players complain about it. Your average newbie isn’t going to care about progression. They’re going to care more about just experiencing what the game has to offer
I do kinda wish we wouldn’t ever again go over the new player experience because it is discussed like so much here and we haven’t said anything new about it for quite a while
I mostly play getfixedboi legendary multiplayer, so obviously its rare items that I have to fish for (not a bad thing itself, but when u have to fish a biom crate and only then have a chance of 10% to get what u need it gets pretty tedious), also messed up spawns, been trying to get foxparx for hours, didnt even encounter the event itself
me personally, i like when your a new player in a game and just have a ton of content to explore, even if its overwhelming or confusing i think its fun to just experiment with stuff and find out things on my own. even for people who dont like that, they can read achievements which basically tell you your next step on what to do in the game. and obviously the guide for anything craftable
I don't get the corruption fans. I just don't. Crimson is less annoying and I dont have to deal with the biome looking like a canyon. Anyway hardmode needs more exploration. I want to explore the world again! See new things, not just a boss rush. I want the pre-hard mode experience again!
I've always hated Master Mode. Not because of the challenge (though I am pretty garbage at the game compared to many people), but because it doesn't do much to change the experience from Expert. Enemies have more health and deal more damage, defense is slightly more effective, and you have one more accessory slot. Legendary Mode is what I feel like Master Mode SHOULD have been, or at least it's closer.
The pirate invasion, hands down, and more specifically the absurdly minimal conditions you need to meet for it to trigger. The world needs to be in hardmode, you need to have 200 max HP, and a single evil altar needs to have been smashed. That's it. You don't even need to have broken one block of hardmode ore, killed one hardmode enemy, or looted one hardmode item. You can have literally zero upgrades between the start of hardmode and the first hardmode invasion. Imagine if the conditions for goblin invasion were: "World must exist, at least one player has 100 HP, at least one clay pot has been broken."

spiked jung slimes are the most annoying mobs early game. especially in master mode, even if you attack them up close they keep releasing those spikes

the constant events in hard mode, every day there's an eclipse or an invasion
There’s nothing worse than spreading
do you not know about the V slice?
worst part of terraria has gotta be the gameplay loop post plantera ill be so fr
master mode is also up there. its so bad
biome spread is fine, but the hardmode V is a pretty outdated mechanic

Honestly, I dont mind the evil spread. Its a unique mechanic and gives an urgent goal. I just wish it was less aggressive early hardmode.
if theres nothing to do kill moon lord again or any other boss

I agree with the last guy. That is definitely an issue, although I guess that's not really something RE-Logic can fix.

Bring back the console port tutorial world
That Master Mode contact damage is so high

Hot take, but Shadow hands is the worst thing in game.
This thing alone ruins Deerclops fight
Biome spread, argument done
It's really telling how much people have changed to the point that terraria needs to hand hold people now
Thing for the WOF
The "burning" debuff (which you get from lava, as well as other sources) show the guide voodoo doll, which could be a hint of sorts

The worst thing is how you pronounce terraria (I say it with a deeper “a”)
I do kinda wish we wouldn’t ever again go over the new player experience because it is discussed like so much here and we haven’t said anything new about it for quite a while
Heavy reliance on rare drops for a number of things rather than actual recipes to work towards, and fishing
I hate terraria because its

what is the music playing on the background ?
I am basically unable to play without magic storage

Having to sort your shit out again every goddamn time you die on mediumcore
Make pylons repel biome spread.
Post-Moon Lord could be resolved if Re-Logic gives upon the idea of final update.

We need a pre hardmode dessert boss
Skeleton archers, moss hornets

Looking for life fruits for me
1:28 how can you get immersed if you don't even know what you gotta do in the first place
1. biome spread
2. Moss hornets
