I couldn’t find a precise visualization of the commonly used crafting, quick stack, and “craft from nearby chests” ranges, so I mapped them out and made these infographics.
How to read it:
Green ring – If a chest touches the green line, you can quick stack to it and craft from it.
Yellow box – Default crafting station range. If a station touches the yellow box, you can craft with it.
Orange box – Artisan Loaf station range. Any station touching the orange box is also usable after Artisan Loaf has been consumed.
Fun details:
The chest range is centered around the player’s head, while the station range is centered around the body/chest height.
The “circle” for nearby chests is actually slightly wider than it is tall (75 versus 73 tiles), so it behaves more like an oval in practice.
