    In all seriousness, I think that’s an Acer Aspire 3. It depends on how broken your clips are, give me a closeup of the key. Also just take the two halves of the keycap off, you can’t use them anymore and that way you can assess the damage beneath.

    Also send the exact model number of your laptop, I can help find a replacement key and retainer clip.

  2. As a stopgap solution, you can gently pry the keycap off an infrequently used key of the same shape and attach it to the switch for the A key. Makes your keyboard look a bit trashy, but it’s an effective jury-rig.

    You’ll want to lift from the top of the keycap you’re removing to reduce risk of breaking the switch; there’ll be a small click when the cap is released, at which point you can slide it down and off. When you put the replacement keycap on, you slide the metal rods on the underside of the cap into the rings at the bottom of the switch, then press the key down flat until the nubs at the top of the switch click into their clamps.

    I did this with an old chromebook once, but instead of A it was W and instead of terraria I pulled it off on accident.
