You’ve got a nice blank canvas there. Use paths, maybe a few more trees of the same or different types?
Shear some leaves for bushes and get some flowers definitely!
Maybe get some beehives in there when there are flowers to liven the area a bit.
A little pond with a fountain could be nice also!
So many things you could do with that. Glow stone could be nice lighting for the floor and you could use lanterns for lamp posts?

Personally I think it looks nice empty. Maybe leave that as a small park or something.
